I’ve been hit!  Ten things, let’s see…

1. I own four instruments that I can barely play (piano, guitar, ukulele, pennywhistle) and tons of print outs of tabs and sheet music for songs I am convinced I will one day master.
2. I work in the circulation department of an academic library.
3. I love horseback riding but rarely get to go.  I’ve been on two trail rides (once in Maryland and once in Galway, where I rode a Connemara pony).  Last summer, I took weekly lessons.  I rode an American Quarterhorse and a Hackney, both named Lady.
4. I am a synesthete.
5. I am currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing, concentrating in fiction.  The project I’m working on for the program is a murder mystery novel that has to do with television.
6. I have snowboarded since I was ten, but regrettably cannot do any tricks.
7. I don’t like alcohol.  My mom tries to make me drink wine because it’s what the grownups do.  I’ll always choose tea over any alcoholic drink.
8. I enjoy making art: painting, drawing, book arts, and photography
9. I have a yellow lab named Sammi.  She is a lady.
10. I’m pretty good at whistling tunes, but would love to learn how to do that loud cab whistle.
